As 3D printing has grown more affordable and commonplace in the last decade, different types of printing have emerged. One of these is SLA, which stands for stereolithography. This type of printing is slower and messier than a Prusa or Ultimaker, but prints are much higher quality and can be made from exotic materials such as wax or ceramic.

The Innovation Wyrkshop has two Form 3 printers available for students to use. They have all the great features of the Form 2, along with some extra levels of automation to make printing easier for makers. We've used the Form 3 machines to create tangible models of hydrocarbon chains and functional pieces for mechanical assemblies. One of our makers even created pottery on them!
