FDM101: Introductory Prusa 3D Printers

Prusa Mini

Desktop FDM 3D printer

3D printing is a technology that has boomed in popularity over the past few years. Printers are now cheaper, safer, and easier to operate than ever before. One of the forerunners of this consumer printing revolution is Prusa3D, makers of the Prusa printer line. These machines are affordable and reliable – perfect for makers of all skill levels.

The Prusa Mini printer has all the capabilities of its larger siblings while being compact and portable – perfect for smaller operations. This machine trims out almost everything but the basic build plate, extruder, and chassis, meaning that it takes up less space than a conventional paper printer. While small in stature, the Prusa Mini is more than capable of creating large projects to fit the needs of any maker.
