In this introductory Adobe Illustrator class, we'll equip you with the tools that can help you create beautiful, professional quality artwork. GDS101 introduces you to the general workspace, tools for creating shapes, and additional options for adding color and text. You'll learn how to use Illustrator to create high quality illustrations, logos, and other custom artwork. We'll introduce you to the common tools, show you how to transform existing shapes, and teach you how to add color to drawn objects. We’ll also give you tips and tricks for utilizing layers to organize your artwork.
For equipment such as the laser cutters or the Cricut cutting machine, vector imagery created with software like Adobe Illustrator is crucial for creating designs. This Illustrator course is for beginners who are new to the application, for those with experience but without formal Illustrator training, or for those who simply want to sharpen their Illustrator skills.
