Soldering irons

Electronics bench equipment

A soldering iron is used to connect components to a printed circuit board (PCB). Soldering irons typically melt a special alloy of tin and lead to permanently fuse components together, which is useful to create permanent circuitry for hardware.

The Innovation Wyrkshop has two soldering irons available, both capable of reaching temperatures above 600°F. They can be used with personal solder, or the solder available for purchase within the Wyrkshop. The soldering irons can also be used with the MBT301 soldering station for better temperature accuracy.
