CRFT101: Learning the Cricut Vinyl Cutter

Cricut Maker

Vinyl cutter

The Cricut Maker is a multi-material cutter that can handle almost any medium under the sun. Alongside the standard vinyl, cardstock, and art foil capabilities that most vinyl cutters have, the Cricut Maker can also handle fabrics, leather, matboard, and balsa wood. It has a number of different blade and pen tips to allow users to cut, draw, score, engrave, and deboss different projects.

For the Innovation Wyrkshop, the Cricut Maker offers one of the most flexible forms of making. Our makers employ the Cricut for dozens of different projects, from creating decals for rockets to greeting cards for the holidays. The Cricut is most well-known around the space for its continual work to produce high-quality decals for the Maker Wall, where makers showcase their skills for all to see.
