Did you know you can laser etch into wood, rocks, metal, and even glass? Ever since its discovery in the 1960s, laser cutting has become an extremely common process across many different industries. Moreover, in recent years, both home and office laser cutting machines have quickly become much more affordable and accessible. Previously only available in industry, now small businesses, entrepreneurs, garage hobbyists, product designers, and makers of all ages can access laser cutters to cut and engrave a huge variety of materials.
LAS101 is one of our introductory laser cutting workshops, where you'll learn how to make exciting designs in a wide variety of different materials! During this workshop, we’ll cover the simple steps necessary to use the Glowforge laser cutter, as well as how to cut and etch or engrave your projects.
