Blaze a NEW trail.
Set down off the beaten path.
Brainchild of the Shell 3D Visualization Center, the Pioneer Program connects local employers with skilled students and makers of all ages who wish to gain experience in the working world, or otherwise demonstrate the incredible marketable skills they’ve built through the MAP program. It’s easy too! Employers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs can post projects they need help with, or search our database of participating skilled users to find exactly the skill set they’re looking for. Makers and trained MAP users can show off their skills and make meaningful connections with leading professionals across a huge range of industries.
Simply put, the Pioneer Program is our way of connecting creative communities to industry leaders and entrepreneurs statewide.
While being able to 3D print is certainly its own reward, the Innovation Wyrkshop wants to put the cherry on the printing sundae for motivated makers. Once the rewards are unlocked by earning one 3D printing badge, makers can cash in their points for one of two types of rewards. For skill-oriented makers, points can be exchanged for resume titles - these range from two points for the Familiarity rank to six points for the Mastery rank. These titles come with text that can be placed into a resume, CV, or application, and are excellent perks for makers interested in pursuing 3D printing careers.
For makers who want to do more printing instead, we offer reduced prices and expanded material access. Four points gets a maker 25% off all 3D printing materials, access to exotic materials such as TPU or copper composites, or a free 10-hour 3D print. Six points can unlock better discounts - up to 75% off of all 3D printing materials! With rewards like these, who wouldn’t want to print?
