The Artec Space Spider is an award-winning blue-light SLS scanner favored for its accuracy and portability. What sets it apart is its ability to precisely render sharp details, intricate geometry, and thin ribs. It was designed for CAD users and engineers, but is also beloved among archaeologists, researchers, and educators. The Space Spider won the New Equipment Digest Innovation Award in 2016 for its incredible accuracy and rapid scanning speeds.

Here in the Wyrkshop, we’ve seen makers use the Space Spider for a slew of projects, ranging from scanning snowmobile parts for cheap and efficient repairs to creating custom bobble heads of a maker’s face. The scanner truly is capable of anything – its sharp, dimensionally accurate detail preservation means that no project is too difficult. It is robust, versatile, and above all, accurate.
